Ok so there's this super interesting Ayurvedic principle called "shatpavali"
If you're not familiar, Ayurveda is a system of traditional medicine related to India.
It includes things you've heard of like yoga, acupuncture, and massage
Since I don't speak that language, the internet tells me it indirectly translates to:
"100 Steps"
The idea is that after eating you should go walk 100 steps.
Ayurvedic practitioners believed this helped with digestion...
...and they were right!
Recent studies have shown that by going for a short walk (they tested 10 minute walks)
You can improve your digestion of the nutrients you just ate.
WHAT'S EVEN COOLER...
...is that this actually improves nutrient partitioning as well.
That's a fancy way of saying that taking a walk after a meal will help you use the carbs from the bagel you just ate to fuel your muscles
Instead of building up fat stores.
This is a game changer!
NOTE: walking 10 minutes after your meals wont get you shredded in 10 days.
But the long term affects keep compounding.
As you gradually teach your body what you would like it to do with the food you just ate
It gets better and better at putting food to work for you, not just long term fat storage
I just thought this was cool
New research backing up what ancient health nuts have been saying for thousands of years.
but you probably wont hear about this
because there's nothing to sell you
But I wanted you to know because this is such a low barrier of entry way of upgrading your physical health and fitness.
Plus you can bring the family along with you!
Talk soon,
Nate
p.s. what does the picture of me bungee jumping have to do with this? Nada, I just thought you should see a picture of my butt today. <3
